Description:

Hims & Hers Health, Inc. is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to join their Data Platform Engineering team.
The role involves providing technical leadership within the Data Platform organization, collaborating with various stakeholders, and establishing guidelines for data availability.
Responsibilities include designing scalable data architecture solutions, overseeing technical migrations, and driving continuous data transformation.
The position requires creating documentation, conducting design reviews, and communicating architectural direction effectively to executives.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with over 12 years of Data Architecture and Data Engineering experience, including team leadership.
Expertise in designing data platforms for large-scale data and diverse data architectures, proficiency in technologies like SQL, Bash, Python, Java, Presto, Spark, AWS, and data streaming tools.
Hands-on experience with data stacks such as Airflow, Databricks, dbt, and data stores like Cassandra, Aurora, and ZooKeeper.
Knowledge of data security, data privacy regulations, and experience in aligning data architecture with organizational goals.
Exposure to analytics techniques using ML and AI, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective project management abilities.
