Description:

The Principal Data Scientist will lead and scale data science initiatives at Sovrn, focusing on ad targeting, bidding strategies, and audience-building innovation.
This role will leverage data to create predictive models and algorithms that enhance ad personalization while ensuring user privacy.
The position requires deep expertise in machine learning and data analytics to optimize Sovrn’s programmatic advertising capabilities.
Collaboration with product, engineering, and commercial teams is essential to align data-driven strategies with business objectives.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing predictive models, staying informed on trends in machine learning and data privacy, and mentoring Data Scientists.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analytics, with a strong focus on digital advertising.
Experience in applying data science within ad tech, programmatic advertising, and the digital media ecosystem is required.
Technical proficiency is necessary, including:
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS and GCP.
- Knowledge of MLOps frameworks such as Kubeflow and MLFlow.
Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying machine learning models to address business problems, particularly in programmatic advertising or digital marketing.
Candidates should be comfortable collaborating with software engineers and possess strong communication and leadership abilities.
A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field is required.

The base pay range for this position is $190,000 to $215,000 annually, with total compensation including bonuses, equity, and benefits.
