Description:

  • The Principal AWS Cloud Engineer leads a team of cloud engineers and DevOps professionals to deliver complex cloud solutions.
  • Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain cloud applications and infrastructure.
  • Providing technical leadership in AWS architecture to ensure systems are scalable, secure, cost-efficient, and of high quality.
  • Overseeing the design, development, and implementation of new cloud systems and enhancements, focusing on scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of cloud engineering projects meeting quality standards and performance metrics.
  • Updating technical knowledge in AWS services and cloud technologies and sharing with the team.
  • Maintaining high standards of cloud solution quality within the team by establishing good practices.
  • Providing performance feedback, coaching, and career development opportunities to team members.
  • Facilitating root cause analysis of cloud system issues and implementing resolution strategies.
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation and diagrams.
  • Managing the release process and system architecture for smooth deployment of new features.
  • Performing system maintenance procedures during non-business hours and weekends.
  • Participating in on-call coverage for system support outside normal business hours.
  • Ensuring high availability of internal and production systems.
  • Implementing and maintaining standard server technologies for performance and optimization.

Requirements:

  • Experience in AWS Cloud Computing Solutions is required.
  • Proficiency in Terraform and other laC tools.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins Pipeline Scripting.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Apache, TomCat, Wordpress, and Testlink.
  • Understanding of Networking, IDS/IPS, and SAN.
  • Experience in Linux and Windows server computing.
  • Proficiency in HyperV, VirtualBox, and VMWare virtualization.
  • Knowledge of Encryption and VPN technologies.
  • Familiarity with ITIL Standards and DB Administration (MySQL).
  • Proficiency in command line scripting (BASH PowerShell, DOS Batch, etc.).
  • Experience with source code management using GIT and services like Bitbucket.
