The Principal Engineer will use expertise in Elixir to design, implement, and maintain robust and efficient systems.
Responsibilities include leading incident response efforts, designing secure and scalable Elixir applications, analyzing logs to resolve issues, conducting assessments for stability and performance, promoting best practices, and evaluating architectural changes.
All Engineering roles are subject to on-call rotations after a ramp/training period.
This position is open to both contract and full-time employment.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant expertise in Elixir.
Hands-on experience with Elixir and the Phoenix Framework in production is required.
Proficiency in functional programming and distributed systems design is necessary.
Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, particularly GitLab CI/CD, is expected.
Knowledge of APIs, cloud environments, and distributed system architecture is essential.
Awareness of emerging trends in Elixir and functional programming is preferred.
