Remote Principal Engineer

Description:

• Build and maintain a playbook of architectural patterns and communicate them across engineering.
• Implement intuitive and responsive user interfaces using modern web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js.
• Design and develop server-side applications, APIs, and databases using technologies like Java and Kotlin.
• Coach teams to enhance their engineering practices.
• Create communities of engineers (guilds) to share knowledge within specific domains.
• Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to identify areas for technology improvement.
• Develop proof of concepts to showcase the utility of new technologies for GROW Inc's core product.
• Contribute to platform documentation to ensure accurate representation of the current architecture.
• Collaborate with Engineering leadership to shape GROW’s Product & Technology Roadmap.
• Work with squads to deliver strategic technology projects.
• Monitor and address tech debt to enhance the existing technology landscape.
• Support solution design and Technology Due Diligence in the sales process.
• Assist in scoping, analysis, and solution design of technology components in customer projects.
• Participate in the hiring process for the extended engineering team and improve the engineering interview process at GROW.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in building and maintaining architectural patterns.
• Experience in developing user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js.
• Strong skills in designing and implementing server-side applications, APIs, and databases with Java and Kotlin.
• Ability to coach teams to enhance their engineering practices.
• Excellent communication skills to share knowledge across engineering.
• Collaboration with engineering and product teams to identify technology improvement opportunities.
• Familiarity with developing proof of concepts for new technologies.
• Capability to contribute to platform documentation accurately.
• Previous experience in collaborating with Engineering leadership to shape technology roadmaps.
• Knowledge of monitoring and addressing tech debt.
• Experience in supporting solution design and Technology Due Diligence in sales processes.
• Ability to assist in scoping, analysis, and solution design of technology components in customer projects.
• Involvement in the hiring process for engineering teams and improving the interview process.
