Remote Principal Engineer, Architecture

Description:

• The Principal Engineer, Architecture at Alto Pharmacy will be responsible for serving as a technical leader on complex customer problems across multiple systems and the tech stack.
• They will decompose complex problems into implementable solutions, understand system dependencies, and work on reducing limitations.
• The role involves possessing expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices.
• The Principal Engineer will mentor and advance the architecture community, oversee the development of autonomous services, and design effective service communications through Event Driven Architecture.
• They will leverage cloud technologies to optimize data stores and retrieval.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Enterprise Systems architecture, design, and build.
• Demonstrated success in driving projects from concept to launch.
• Ability to influence with sound technical judgment and drive to build Proof of Concepts using new technologies.
• Experience in cloud native software development, modern programming languages, APIs, Event Driven Architectures, AI/ML mechanisms, and performant data models.

Benefits:

• The salary range for this position is $192,000 - $240,000.
• The position is not commission eligible but is equity eligible.
• Travel is required up to 15% of the time for engineering and leadership on/off-sites.
