Remote Principal Engineer

Description:

• As a Principal Software Engineer at ActivTrak, you will be responsible for shaping the future direction and design of the ActivTrak application.
• You will work independently to understand the business, customer, and engineering needs, defining and driving the platform and infrastructure architecture, systems, and tooling to meet the product direction for the next 1-2 years.
• Your role will involve mentoring and guiding other developers, participating in cross-team initiatives, creating system documentation, and leading technical reviews in requirements, design, and code.
• ActivTrak utilizes cutting-edge .NET 6.0+ technology in a cloud-native SaaS environment, offering opportunities for innovation and contribution to the platform's future.

Requirements:

• Comprehensive knowledge of C# and experience in developing and deploying in a .NET 6.0+ environment.
• Proficiency in cloud environments like Google Cloud Platform and AWS, along with expertise in data modeling design and API design/implementation (e.g., Microservices, REST).
• Strong SQL experience, familiarity with Docker/Containers, Kubernetes, Agile development, Visual Studio, and software source control (e.g., Git).
• Experience in SAAS development with Continuous Delivery, knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, and software development best practices.
• Familiarity with functional programming.
