Description:

Extreme Networks is seeking a Lead UX Designer to lead design strategy, validation, and execution within a balanced team of Product Managers and Software Engineers.
The role involves advocating for the user, understanding user needs, conducting user research, and creating designs that meet those needs.
The Lead UX Designer will communicate user pain points and design iterations to product managers, developers, and business stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include leading design thinking methodologies, creating visual designs, and developing user-centric design practices.
The designer will present design discoveries and facilitate workshops, while also leading design reviews to ensure high-quality design artifacts.
The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and participation in scoping and design thinking workshops.
The designer will optimize experience platforms and tools, and create visual communication artifacts to facilitate product design.

Requirements:

Candidates must have deep experience in at least one design skill: User Research, Interaction Design, Visual Design, or Service Design.
A minimum of 6 years’ experience as a UX Designer or Digital Product Designer is required, with a formal degree or training in HCI, Product Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, or related fields.
Excellent communication, facilitation, coordination, and organization skills are essential.
Experience working within product teams and collaborating with various roles such as designers, content strategists, and product management is necessary.
Candidates should have experience designing for enterprise customers/users, preferably in telecom or technology industries.
Experience designing for AI-driven experiences is a plus.
A mindset of empathy and a collaborative approach to problem-solving is required.
