Description:
Second Dinner is an award-winning independent game development studio focused on creating the most fun games in the world, including the acclaimed MARVEL SNAP.
The studio operates remotely, with most team members located across the United States, promoting a diverse and inclusive work environment.
The Principal Game Designer, Feature Design Team Lead, will manage a small Features Design team and oversee key systems and upcoming features for MARVEL SNAP.
Responsibilities include leading the Feature Design Team, owning the design for key systems and features, being the go-to expert for new features, and continuously improving system design through collaboration.
The role involves predicting the impact of new features, measuring and optimizing systems with the data science team, and maintaining team visibility through clear documentation.
Requirements:
A consistent track record of game design excellence is required.
Experience working on live service games and mobile games is essential.
Candidates must have experience owning game systems on shipped titles.
Comfort in discussing KPIs and weighing design impact against them is necessary.
A deep understanding of player types, behaviors, and motivations is required.
Experience managing player sentiment with live operations is essential.
Experience leading and managing designers and design efforts is required.
Nice to have but not necessary: programming experience, particularly in C#, experience working on card games, and experience in Unity.
