Remote Principal GCP Infrastructure Performance Engineer (with french)

Description:

• The Ticketing Co. is seeking a Principal GCP Infrastructure Performance Engineer proficient in both English and French to lead the design and maintenance of resilient systems for their feature-rich ticketing platform.
• The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of experience in designing and implementing complex, scalable infrastructure solutions, with expertise in cloud environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform.
• Security expertise is crucial, with a deep understanding of security best practices and implementation.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL is required for optimizing and understanding the underlying layers of the database.
• Fluency in Node.js, specifically in TypeScript, is necessary.
• Strong focus on code quality, emphasizing maintainability, scalability, and readability.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably with Pulumi, is preferred.
• Bonus skills include knowledge of React and React Native.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire company infrastructure, including database management.
• Ensure optimization, performance, and data integrity across all systems.
• Maintain and monitor website uptime for smooth operation.
• Take full accountability for servers, networking, and security aspects of the infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect data and systems.
• Continuously improve infrastructure reliability and efficiency through proactive monitoring and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Excellent English & French written and verbal communication skills.
• 5-10 years of experience in designing and implementing complex, scalable infrastructure solutions, including cloud environments.
• Expertise in server infrastructure, preferably with experience in Google Cloud Platform.
• Deep understanding of security best practices and implementation.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL for optimization and understanding of database layers.
• Fluency in Node.js, specifically in TypeScript.
• Strong focus on code quality for maintainability, scalability, and readability.
