Remote Principal Infrastructure and Performance Engineer

Description:

• The Ticketing Co. is seeking a motivated Lead Infrastructure Engineer to architect their digital backbone and maintain resilient systems for their ticketing platform.
• The role involves overseeing the entire company infrastructure, including database management, optimizing performance, and ensuring data integrity.
• Responsibilities include maintaining website uptime, implementing security measures, and improving infrastructure reliability and efficiency through proactive monitoring.
• The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in designing and implementing complex, scalable infrastructure solutions, proficiency in PostgreSQL and Node.js, and expertise in cloud environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Pulumi is preferred, and knowledge of React and React Native is a plus.

Requirements:

• Excellent English & French written and verbal communication skills are required.
• 5-10 years of experience in designing and implementing complex, scalable infrastructure solutions, including cloud environments.
• Expertise in server infrastructure, preferably with experience in Google Cloud Platform, and a deep understanding of security best practices.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, with the ability to optimize and understand the underlying layers.
• Fluency in Node.js (in TypeScript) and a strong focus on building for maintainability, scalability, and readability.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably using Pulumi.
• Bonus Skills: Knowledge of React and React Native.
