Description:
Sequel Med Tech is looking for a Principal IT Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of technical infrastructure for customer- and employer-facing programs.
The role involves overseeing the integration of various systems and technologies critical to the success of digital products, starting with the employer program and customer and caregiver portal.
The successful candidate will work closely with Technology and Operations leadership to define a vision and roadmap, then collaborate with product teams to execute strategies in an agile manner.
Responsibilities include selecting and implementing new technologies, designing a cloud-based infrastructure, mentoring engineering staff, managing technical projects, staying updated on emerging technologies in healthcare, and ensuring data security and disaster recovery protocols.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field, or equivalent career experience.
10+ years of experience in IT architecture design and implementation, with at least half in a medical device or healthcare IT role.
Fluency in agile development practices and ability to challenge assumptions and navigate corporate funding and reporting models.
Strong understanding of IT security best practices, compliance regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST), and data privacy.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Willingness to be hands-on-keyboard with engineering teams to accelerate implementation.
