Remote Principal Java DevOps Engineer

Description:

• Develop scalable and innovative robust Java code for content aggregation, information indexing, retrieval, processing, and ranking in a large-scale distributed system.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of technical requirements and project goals.
• Write detailed design documents, develop comprehensive automated tests, and coordinate automated deployments.
• Work on coding, testing, and debugging a system running in a k8s environment with zero downtime worldwide.
• Build, enhance, optimize, and deploy tools, workflows, and systems to process textual data for extraction of relevant information.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field of study; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8+ years developing applications in core Java.
• In-depth knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and systems.
• Experience with Google Associate Cloud Engineer Certification or other Google Cloud Professional level certification preferred.
• Excellent verbal and writing communication skills in English.
• Operability experience in logging, monitoring, alerting, and debugging.
• Prefer experience with Cassandra or Spanner.
• Prefer containerization knowledge (Kubernetes, Docker) experience.
• Prefer experience with DevOps and infrastructure as code (terraform, CI/CD, build tools – maven/gradle).

Benefits:

• Anticipated starting pay range: $180,300 - $308,000 depending on location and eligibility.
