Remote Principal, Product Security

Description:

• Business Wire is seeking a Principal, Product Security to enhance product and cloud security initiatives.

• The Principal, Product Security will conduct technical security assessments, threat modeling, and oversee application security measures.

• The candidate will also coach other security professionals and create standards and policies to improve product security.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in modern application security, particularly on AWS.
• Extensive hands-on experience in designing secure infrastructure solutions for both AWS and on-prem applications.
• Deep understanding of security testing tools, including GitHub Advanced Security for SAST and DAST.
• Experience in application security automation and integrating security into CI/CD processes.
• Strong knowledge of technical assessments, threat modeling, and cloud security architecture.
• Proven experience in managing security incidents related to applications in AWS and on-prem environments.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex security concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required.
• Previous software development experience is a plus.
