Description:
The Principal Fusion Analyst is part of the global security fusion operations center and serves as the subject matter expert and pod lead for their geographical region.
This role involves providing mentorship to the Fusion operation team members and assisting the Senior Manager in developing streamlined processes adapted to Nielsen’s Fusion model.
The position requires a solid technical and operational security background in areas such as vulnerability management, incident response, identity management, and engineering on an enterprise or global level.
The Principal Analyst will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of their pod and team members, ensuring appropriate coverage, scheduling time off, training, and synchronizing operations between pods.
The fusion center acts as the main interface between end users and security for escalation and everyday support, facilitating streamlined hand-offs between teams.
The role requires managing relationships with multiple trusted partners to drive the fusion operations objectives.
Responsibilities include providing mentorship and support to staff, building and maintaining SLAs for regional pod activities, attending weekly staff/operations meetings, and managing a team of security fusion analysts.
The Principal Analyst will oversee tier 1 security operation activities, incident response activities, monitor computer networks for security threats, develop and maintain security procedures, and provide regular reporting of Fusion Operation metrics.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5 - 8+ years of relevant experience, with 1 - 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Cloud, networking, and operating systems fundamentals is required.
Candidates should possess advanced computer forensic or network forensic certifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to troubleshoot and resolve network/operating system security issues.
The ability to perform and interpret vulnerability assessments is essential.
Candidates must be able to administer the operations of a security infrastructure and balance and prioritize work effectively.

The salary range for this role is estimated to be between $66,000 - $225,000, adjusted based on geographic location and individual circumstances such as experience and certifications.
