Description:
NobleAI is seeking a Principal Security & DevOps Engineer to join their team in San Francisco, CA.
The role involves ensuring the security of systems, applications, and infrastructure while maintaining DevOps agility and scalability.
The engineer will lead the delivery of storage and processing infrastructure through standardization, automation, and containerization.
Responsibilities include aligning with peers on automation and CI/CD standards, setting engineering architecture direction, and defining design, testing, and documentation criteria.
The engineer will lead problem-solving sessions, provide recommendations on solutions, evolve practices as the team and product scale, and mentor junior team members.
Effective communication of risks and issues, along with proposing mitigation options for product delivery, is essential.
Requirements:
A BSc Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 10+ years of industry experience in building data-intensive software and platforms.
A minimum of 5 years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes) is necessary.
At least 5 years of Python programming experience and building scalable data services is required.
Proficiency in modern software development lifecycle practices and CI/CD is essential.
A deep understanding of cloud security architecture and tools, including role-based access controls and authorization, is needed.
Exceptional communication skills are required, with the ability to convey complex technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in mentoring engineers and fostering a collaborative culture focused on engineering excellence is important.
