Description:
The Principal SharePoint Developer will lead migration projects, utilizing expertise in SharePoint Migration.
The role involves providing support to migrate on-premises instances to cloud or hybrid solutions and recommending strategies for process improvement.
Participation in requirements definition sessions is required to understand business objectives or problems to be addressed by the system.
The developer will work with the development team to define application scope and objectives, preparing functional and/or technical specifications.
Responsibilities include creating and maintaining workflows, developing and maintaining databases including MS SQL, and overseeing the work of other SharePoint developers.
The position requires supporting problem resolution and providing technical support for other developers.
Proactive management of the SharePoint environment to maximize business value is essential.
Collaboration with software developers to analyze and classify complex change requests and evaluate possible enhancements is expected.
The developer will code and maintain complex components of information systems, leveraging MS Visual Studio and SharePoint Designer.
System testing and defect fixes are part of the role, along with integrating activities with other IT departments for successful project implementation.
On-call support, system monitoring, and identifying system deficiencies are also required.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience with Agile or SAFe frameworks.
Strong development skills in .NET Framework (C#) and SharePoint APIs, including Web Services and PowerShell programming, are necessary.
Experience in developing applications with SharePoint and building workflow and collaboration solutions is required.
Candidates should have experience developing WSP packages for custom solutions deployment and familiarity with MS SQL databases.
A strong understanding of object-oriented design, web application architecture, JavaScript, CSS, and XML is essential.
Experience with MS Visual Studio and SharePoint Designer is required.
Candidates with experience migrating SharePoint on-premises to online are highly preferred.
Experience with multiple Business Intelligence tools and leading small projects is strongly preferred.
A commitment to developing secure code and cyber security awareness is necessary.
Educational qualifications include a BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of SharePoint development experience, or an Associate degree with 4 years of SharePoint experience, or a High School Diploma with 8 years of SharePoint experience.
