UltraViolet Cyber is a leading platform-enabled unified security operations company providing a comprehensive suite of security operations solutions.
The company is seeking a highly skilled Principal Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with expert-level experience in Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), DevOps, and AWS.
The role focuses on enhancing the scalability, reliability, and security of cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities include ensuring system reliability and performance, managing Kubernetes clusters, automating infrastructure provisioning, and building CI/CD pipelines.
The engineer will design monitoring and incident response solutions, enforce security best practices, and conduct capacity planning and scaling.
Collaboration with Engineering and Product teams is essential to integrate reliability principles into the software development lifecycle.
The role also involves leading post-mortem investigations for critical incidents and optimizing cloud costs.
Requirements:
Candidates must have extensive experience in AWS, particularly in managing EKS clusters and core AWS services.
Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, with a proven track record of deploying and maintaining containerized applications is required.
Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, including Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD platforms, is necessary.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Golang is essential.
Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and AWS CloudWatch is required.
A deep understanding of networking principles, including DNS and VPC, is necessary.
Candidates should have a strong background in security best practices and experience with highly available, distributed systems.
Previous experience in an Agile or DevOps culture is preferred.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong communication and leadership abilities are required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is necessary.
