Description:

Zscaler is seeking an experienced Principal Software Development Engineer to join their Cloud Browser Isolation team.
The role involves designing and implementing tools for automating deployment and upgrades of customer rollouts, focusing on minimizing maintenance requirements and reducing error-prone tasks.
The engineer will implement tools and automation to enhance developer productivity and advocate for DevOps within engineering teams.
Collaboration with QA and Engineering is essential to understand, design, and implement infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements.
The position requires participation in all phases of product development, assessing, planning, and contributing to infrastructure evolution for scalability and performance.
The engineer will also engage in post-mortem operations discussions and capacity planning exercises to identify areas for improvement in automation and error reporting/observability.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a tech lead, staff, or principal role.
Proficiency in coding languages such as GoLang, Java, or Rust is required, along with intermediate experience in Python and Bash.
Expertise in backend systems within large-scale service-oriented architectures is necessary.
Intermediate to advanced experience with at least one public cloud platform, preferably AWS, is required.
Candidates should have intermediate to advanced experience with the Linux Operating System and CI & Build tools.
