Description:

The Principal Engineer role at Cyderes reports to the SVP Managed Services Delivery within the Managed Services department.
This role will partner with leadership and delivery teams to make technical and architectural decisions while considering scale and performance of the infrastructure and organization.
The candidate will work closely with all teams within Managed Services to help deliver innovative and high-quality features and services to Cyderes clients.
This leadership role combines thought leadership and experience with solutions, software, and architecture.
The candidate will have the opportunity to work on innovative and impactful projects within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
This role will help define the creative roadmap that drives success and outcomes for Cyderes services.
Responsibilities include providing technical leadership, developing implementation reference documentation, mentoring engineering teams, and collaborating with leadership to monitor success metrics.
The candidate will also define and enforce cloud engineering best practices, assist with troubleshooting production issues, and cultivate a high-performing culture within the organization.

Requirements:

The candidate must have the ability to inspire ownership, accountability, and confidence in high-performing development teams.
They should be able to architect critical project features that involve integration with multiple teams while supporting multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Proven experience in cloud-native solutions, microservices architecture, containerization, and implementing Infrastructure-as-Code is required.
In-depth knowledge of the three major cloud technology environments (GCP, AWS, Azure) and their applications is necessary.
Experience mentoring engineering teams and leading them to successful delivery is essential.
The candidate must have a proven track record of developing relationships and trust across multiple levels of an organization.
Relevant certifications in GCP, AWS, and/or Azure are required.
A minimum of 7 years of experience working on or with software development teams using CI/CD, agile methodologies, and SDLC is necessary.
A BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant industry experience is required.
