Remote Principal Software Engineer

Description:

• Zscaler is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to join their EMEA Cloud Browser Isolation team in a remote capacity.
• The role involves complete ownership of multiple components, including definition, design, implementation, testing, delivery, and monitoring.
• Responsibilities include analyzing product requirements and translating them into feasible technical solutions.
• The engineer will design highly available and scalable solutions with security in mind for public cloud applications.
• Writing correct, maintainable, portable, testable, secure, performant, and reliable code for current and future components is essential.
• The position requires writing various tests (unit, integration, e2e, performance, resilience) and integrating them into the CI/CD flow.
• Building quick MVPs/POCs to validate technical solutions is part of the job.
• The engineer will act as a mentor and leader to all team members, especially junior ones.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in modern C++ (C++ 11 or later) is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in one of the following programming languages: Java, Go, C#, or Rust.
• Candidates should have 3+ years of Linux experience.
• Knowledge of browser engines (Chromium, Firefox, or WebKit) internals is necessary.
