Description:
The Principal Software Engineer will be responsible for developing microservices and web applications to enhance data collection processes and drive innovation within the online retail/brand execution suite of products.
The role involves introducing domain-driven design, event sourcing, CQRS, and other patterns to meet the needs of large customers.
The engineer will focus on product-driven solutions, efficient delivery, code quality, collaboration with various teams, clear communication, and strategic contributions to the business.
Qualifications include 12+ years of software engineering experience, proficiency in multiple coding languages, system design skills, experience with modern tech stacks, and strong testing habits.
Requirements:
12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Understanding of product-driven engineering and agile delivery.
Proficiency in multiple coding languages for front-end and server-side development.
Ability to guide and coach engineering teams on software design principles.
Experience in designing high scale distributed systems and modern tech stacks.
Proficiency in domain-driven design, MACH architecture, CQRS, event sourcing, or other modern patterns.
Strong system integration, automation, and deployment experience.
Ability to learn quickly, make pragmatic decisions, and adapt to changing business needs.
Experience in leading and balancing priorities across multiple delivery teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Benefits:
Competitive base pay ranging from CAD$180,000 to CAD$210,000 annually.
