Description:
SnippetSentry™ is a company founded in 2022 that focuses on enhancing enterprise cyber security for mobile communications data outside the corporate security zone.
The Principal Software Engineer will work with product owners to refine requirements and collaborate with external partners and software architects to improve integrations.
Responsibilities include documenting solution architecture, implementing best practices for quality assurance, mentoring development teams, and providing technical solutions for strategic efforts.
The role involves participating in all phases of the software development life cycle, including functional analysis, prototyping, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
A key goal is to design processes or training initiatives that reduce the need for hands-on involvement in testing, deployment, and support.
The engineer will design, document, and develop high-quality solutions using a Moleculer-based micro-services infrastructure and assist with GCP platform administration.
Coordination with management is required to make resource recommendations and lead internal and external teams in executing planned work.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Engineering is necessary, including advanced skills in Node.js and Typescript coding, debugging expertise, and clear documentation of solutions.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in implementing or consuming REST APIs or GraphQL APIs and developing micro-services architecture in NodeJS.
At least 1 year of experience in CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance, team leadership, and using JIRA is required.
Preferred experience includes provisioning and configuring MacOS and Linux environments, knowledge of SFTP & SMTP protocols, Google Cloud Services (GCP), and familiarity with Moleculer or other Node-based micro-services frameworks.
Experience with popular LLMs and their APIs is also preferred.
Bonus experience includes working with customers and partners, AWS, Azure, and Python, although these are not required.
