Impinj is a leading RAIN RFID provider and Internet of Things pioneer, focused on connecting various items to the Internet.
The company is seeking a Staff level software engineer to build the next generation RAIN RFID platform for applications in healthcare, logistics, and retail.
The role involves efficient stream processing of large volumes of data and developing complex algorithms to extract insights from raw RFID data.
The engineer will craft firmware and solutions for reader chips, readers, and gateway products to address real-world problems.
Collaboration with other development teams is essential to define functionality, design architecture, and establish test requirements.

Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or Computer Science (CS) is required.
Candidates must have 15 years of industry-related experience.
High proficiency in C/C++, object-oriented design, and any scripting language, preferably Python, is necessary.
Experience in delivering high-quality, tested code across multiple release cycles is required.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in an embedded environment are essential.
A commitment to a collaborative, respectful, accountable, and inquisitive work style is expected.
Ideal but not necessary: Experience developing embedded Linux solutions, familiarity with network technologies such as MQTT, Kafka, AMQP, or ZeroMQ, and understanding of RF concepts or experience in developing embedded software for wireless communication products.

The typical base pay range for this role is $168,000 to $267,000, with individual pay depending on various factors.
Eligible roles may receive additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonuses, and stock based on individual performance.
