Remote Principal Software Engineer

• The company is seeking a Staff level software engineer to build the next generation RAIN RFID platform for applications in healthcare, logistics, and retail.
• The role involves efficient stream processing of large volumes of data and developing complex algorithms to extract insights from raw RFID data.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or Computer Science (CS) is required.
• Candidates must have 15 years of industry-related experience.
• High proficiency in C/C++, object-oriented design, and any scripting language, preferably Python, is necessary.
• Experience in delivering high-quality, tested code across multiple release cycles is required.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in an embedded environment are essential.
• A commitment to a collaborative, respectful, accountable, and inquisitive work style is expected.
• Ideal but not necessary: Experience developing embedded Linux solutions, familiarity with network technologies such as MQTT, Kafka, AMQP, or ZeroMQ, and understanding of RF concepts or experience in developing embedded software for wireless communication products.
