Description:
The Principal Software Engineer will lead projects focused on enhancing Ad Formats by expanding ad inventory, enabling ads on new placements, optimizing ad user experience, and innovating new formats.
They will collaborate with designers and product managers to develop new ad functionality and products, ensuring alignment with company priorities.
The role involves enhancing infrastructure to accelerate format enhancements, increase portability of solutions, and bring in industry ideas to improve the ad product portfolio.
The engineer will mentor staff engineers, share industry knowledge, and contribute to the technical growth of the team.
Responsibilities also include advising on ad review and brand safety enhancements.
Requirements:
10+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, with a track record of leading complex projects impacting critical business metrics.
5+ years of experience across various components in the ads system, including Ads Formats, Campaign Management, Ads Reporting, Ad Serving, and Ad Ranking.
Familiarity with Ads privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, ePD, ATT, etc.).
Proven ability to design, implement, test, and launch complex product and infrastructure changes across the entire Ads stack.
Strong communication skills and experience updating executives.
