Description:
Atticus is a platform that connects people with disabilities to government benefits and helps victims of accidents, misconduct, and violence get compensation from insurance.
The Principal Software Engineer will lead the effort to transform the product into a scalable platform that can serve millions of people.
The role involves crafting a strategic plan and roadmap to scale the tech stack by 10x and plant the seeds for 20x.
Responsibilities include designing, building, and operating Atticus’ APIs with a focus on performance and reliability.
The engineer will plan roadmaps 3-6 months ahead while being engaged in week-to-week operations.
The position requires evaluating storage technologies and methodologies for scalability and performance.
The engineer will architect, design, review, and test code in a collaborative environment.
The role includes training other technical leaders on the team to enhance their skills.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience as the best engineer in the room and the ability to elevate others.
A minimum of 5 years of experience leading engineering teams on highly critical products is required.
The candidate should have a passion for fostering career growth and building a strong team culture.
A deep commitment to operational excellence, including incident management and high availability, is essential.
The ability to proactively identify problems and generate creative solutions is necessary.
Candidates should be champions of end-user products and enjoy collaborating with product and design teams.
