The Principal Software Engineer (Backend) will lead the design, development, and optimization of core backend services.
This role involves influencing architectural decisions, mentoring engineering teams, and scaling the platform to meet user needs.
Responsibilities include designing scalable backend systems, architecting robust APIs and data pipelines, and implementing backend logic using C#/.NET.
The engineer will optimize data storage and retrieval using MySQL and DynamoDB, mentor junior and senior engineers, and lead technical planning sessions.
The role requires integrating GraphQL services with existing infrastructure and staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software development.
Strong proficiency in C#/.NET and a deep understanding of object-oriented design and modern backend development principles are required.
Proven experience with Typescript in server-side or full-stack environments is necessary.
Expertise in building and maintaining REST and GraphQL APIs in production systems is essential.
Practical knowledge of DynamoDB and MySQL, with the ability to optimize for performance and scalability, is required.
A proactive mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for crafting clean, efficient, and maintainable code are important.
Experience leading backend initiatives and mentoring engineering teams in dynamic environments is needed.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines are required.
Extensive experience with cloud platforms like AWS (preferred) or GCP is necessary.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $190,000 to $230,000 a year.
