Remote Principal Software Engineer - Cloud

Description:

• The Principal Software Engineer will be responsible for bringing Pulumi’s cloud programming model to developers worldwide.
• They will work on projects such as Pulumi ESC, Pulumi Deployments, and Pulumi Insights to enhance platform engineering productivity.
• The role involves collaborating with a team to define long-term strategies, create roadmaps, and design cost-effective solutions for complex features.
• The engineer will code across the full stack using technologies like Angular/Typescript, Nodejs, and Golang.
• They will also contribute to enabling Pulumi Cloud functionality in multiple languages and participate in code reviews and mentorship.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience as a software engineer.
• They must excel in tackling ambiguity, possess expertise in cloud-based systems architecture, and have strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, a passion for coding, and proficiency in multiple programming languages like Go, TypeScript, Python, Java, and C# are required.
• Experience with deployment orchestration and infrastructure as code tools is a plus.
