Description:

JumpCloud is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to focus on applications running on Windows, Mac, or Linux machines/servers.
The role involves working on Device Management, which is a key part of JumpCloud's product portfolio.
The engineer will enhance JumpCloud's platform to make it more efficient and secure for device management.
Responsibilities include tackling complex problems, serving as a technical leader on cross-functional projects, and influencing teams to build reliable and performant solutions.
The engineer will collaborate with other Principal Engineers and Architects to drive a shared strategy.
The role requires participation in strategic planning and scoping sessions with product managers.
Mentoring individuals on advanced technical issues is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 15+ years of experience as an engineer and in leading complex engineering projects.
Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is required.
Strong knowledge of programming languages including Go, Java, Typescript, or others is necessary.
Experience in developing applications for MacOS, Windows, or Linux, particularly in C++ and Golang, is a must.
Candidates should have expertise in areas like Windows services, kernels, Event Loggers, Mac Launch daemons, and macOS internals.
Experience in a distributed systems environment is essential.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills are required to oversee complex projects across multiple teams.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment is necessary.
