  • As a Principal Engineer, you will provide technology leadership and architectural oversight to product and platform engineering teams, reporting directly to the CTO.
  • You will collaborate with senior leaders, colleagues, customers, and partners, playing a key role in shaping technology priorities and developing a combined product and technology roadmap.
  • Key tasks include architectural oversight, leading product design and development, empowering engineers, contributing to standards and design patterns, and ensuring consistent application of architectural decisions.

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in building and designing software, demonstrating deep and broad experience as a natural technical leader.
  • Proven experience in developing distributed data-intensive systems and managing them in production is required.
  • The ability to quickly comprehend complex scenarios, articulate the architecture of complex systems, and unravel uncertainty and ambiguity is essential.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to convey information at the appropriate level of detail for any audience.
  • Experience in building production systems based on OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, MongoDB, and/or Apache Kafka is required.
  • Bonus skills include expertise in Javascript or Python, experience deploying software into the cloud and on-premise, familiarity with microservices architectures, experience with Kubernetes, and domain experience in National Security, cyber security, or financial crime compliance.
