Remote Principal Software Engineer

Description:

• EcoCart is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the development of a new product from 0-1 in a startup environment.
• The role involves championing architectural best practices to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of EcoCart's technology stack.
• Responsibilities include mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, collaborating with the Product Lead, and managing engineering schedules and resources.
• The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of full stack development experience, proficiency in React/Typescript and Node.js/Python, and familiarity with Shopify and e-commerce applications.
• The position requires a strong bias for action and a philosophy on how technologies can achieve business goals.

Requirements:

• Experience building products and architecting systems from 0-1 in a startup setting.
• 7+ years of full stack development experience, with a focus on frontend development.
• Proficiency in React/Typescript for user interfaces and Node.js/Python for backend systems.
• Familiarity with Shopify and other e-commerce applications.
• Broad knowledge of programming languages, software architecture, design, and database systems.
• Strong bias-for-action mindset.
