Remote Principal Software Engineer (Full stack)

Description:

• The Principal Software Engineer (Full stack) position is a remote role based in the United States at G-P, a company focused on breaking down barriers to global business.
• The role involves driving the technical evolution of a best-in-class SaaS cloud platform, leading initiatives such as technical design, prototyping, building, and overseeing execution towards agreed goals.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with product managers, technical architects, engineering management, software engineers, and other subject matter experts to understand requirements and suggest appropriate solutions.
• The engineer will take a technical lead role in agile teams, providing hands-on technical expertise while ensuring functionality, security, scalability, and performance.
• The position requires delivering solutions in a cloud-managed and serverless-first platform ecosystem, ensuring consistent use of shared platform components, and designing reusable libraries and APIs.
• The engineer will also develop and promote a full spectrum of test suites and a quality mindset, as well as mentor Software Engineers through advice, coaching, and training opportunities.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have extensive experience in architecting and developing highly scalable enterprise-level services, platforms, or products.
• Experience in building large-scale distributed enterprise applications in geographically distributed teams is required.
• Familiarity with a marketing stack is a definite plus.
• Knowledge of modern cloud architectures and technologies is essential, with experience in AWS being a significant advantage.
• Deep knowledge of both back end and front end stacks is required, including proficiency in Java, Node.js, Python, Redis, and React.js/Typescript.
• A working knowledge of content management systems, experimentation, and SEO is desired.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary, along with experience in documenting and delivering technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in a startup or high-growth environment and the ability to hustle is desirable.
• Hands-on experience in integrating CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot with internal systems, as well as integrating third-party systems with internal and external workflows, is a plus.

• The annual gross base salary range for this position is between $140,000 and $180,000, with actual compensation depending on qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location.
