Description:
- Veeam is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for Infrastructure to lead the scaling of cloud infrastructure and development tooling.
- The role involves maintaining cloud infrastructure, building development tooling, setting up observability and alerting, and backend services work as needed.
- The engineer will help companies prevent and recover from cyber attacks, contributing to the company's growth.
- Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable systems for large data volumes, managing cloud infrastructure across multiple regions, and analyzing system architecture for security and reliability.
- The engineer will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with cross-functional teams, write clean and maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and mentor peers.
Requirements:
- Candidates should have 8+ years of experience in building and deploying production infrastructure at scale in the cloud, preferably AWS, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Proven experience in designing and scaling highly-available applications built on low latency event-driven architectures is required.
- Fluency in a modern programming language such as JavaScript, Golang, Python, or Ruby is necessary.
- Experience in leading other engineers in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions is essential.
