Remote Principal Software Engineer - O11y, Asserts (Remote, India)

Description:

• The Principal Software Engineer will be responsible for driving technical and business strategy in the Observability department.
• They will influence the product roadmap, drive innovations, and create design documents for system design.
• The engineer will work with the team to deliver new features, improve performance, reliability, and efficiency of critical systems.
• Participation in on-call rotations, mentoring team members, and becoming a subject matter expert for observability products and systems are key responsibilities.
• The role involves gaining a deeper understanding of the cloud product, customers, and the codebase of a large distributed system.

Requirements:

• Motivated self-starter with a bias towards action.
• Customer-focused with a passion for creating intuitive products.
• Experience delivering projects from requirements gathering to product shipping.
• Strong experience in building and deploying Java-based microservices.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and operating production services.
