The Platform Services team is responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that supports seamless game experiences for millions of players.
The Principal Software Engineer will report to the Head of Platform Technology and lead the design, development, and operation of global platform services.
Responsibilities include guiding the team to build a highly available, secure, and scalable technology backbone, advancing engineering practices, and integrating platform services across various app stores.
The role involves collaborating with central tech and SNAP leadership, implementing platform services, ensuring functionality through testing, architecting multi-region infrastructure, designing CI/CD pipelines, championing security best practices, and mentoring senior engineers.

Requirements:

Candidates must have extensive experience operating large-scale backend services in AWS or other cloud infrastructures.
Proven expertise in deploying and operating cloud-native applications using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi is required.
Proficiency in programming languages like Python or Go for building backend systems and automation tools is necessary.
Deep experience with backend systems for authentication, payment processing, and compliance is essential.
Strong expertise in cloud security and secure application development is required.
Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack is needed.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot live service issues and implement sustainable solutions.
Outstanding technical and personal communication skills are required, including the ability to articulate a technological vision and align it with business needs.
A collaborative mindset and a supportive, team-oriented attitude are essential.
