Description:

The Principal Software Engineer will have full ownership around enterprise connectors, connector framework, and feasibility.
This role involves championing Engineering Excellence for the business unit.
The engineer will lead the design and implementation of scalable architecture and framework for enterprise connectors.
They will develop advanced solutions for metadata management, enhancing Atlan’s Metadata Marketplace.
The position requires providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
The engineer will own and deliver on the major business outcomes for the business unit.
They will serve as a technical thought leader for customer onboarding, ensuring a smooth and reliable adoption process.
The role includes overseeing the deployment and operational excellence of solutions on the Atlan platform.
The engineer will spearhead innovation in connector development and drive developer productivity improvements.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 12+ years of experience in backend development with a focus on scalable and reliable solutions.
A demonstrated success in leading the design and deployment of enterprise-grade systems is required.
Deep expertise in Python, Kotlin, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is essential.
Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Argo is necessary.
Exceptional mentoring skills and the ability to foster technical excellence in teams are required.
Proven capability to interact with customers and partners as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) is needed.
A strong understanding of SaaS products, metadata management, and scalable architecture design is essential.
