Description:

  • Brightspeed is seeking a Principal Software Engineer- Provisioning and Activation Analytics to lead end-to-end system solutions for their telecom applications.
  • The role involves overseeing order fulfillment orchestration, inventory, provisioning, and billing domains.
  • The engineer will lead the team in the customer order fulfillment process across the entire order provisioning life cycle.
  • Responsibilities include defining the roadmap for migrating provisioning applications, leading the team to achieve business goals, and identifying operational solutions.
  • The engineer will ensure the team follows defined processes to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Close collaboration with senior management is required to analyze long-term business goals and suggest technological solutions.
  • The role also involves guiding the team in assessing system usage trends and identifying performance constraints.

Requirements:

  • A BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
  • Candidates must have 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the telecom domain.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Java microservices development is necessary, including troubleshooting various environment issues.
  • Candidates should have 4+ years of experience with Micro Services and domain-driven design.
  • At least 3 years of experience with major cloud providers such as GCP, Azure, or AWS is required.
  • Experience in leading the solution architecture lifecycle, including concept, design, prototyping, integration, testing, and production release is essential.
  • Candidates should have experience in telecom provisioning/billing and fiber solutions.
  • Experience implementing telecom products and services, such as Voice/VOIP and Broadband services, is required.
  • Familiarity with BPM/Workflow/Orchestration tools is necessary.
  • The ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering results is essential.
  • Candidates must be self-driven, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing multiple clients and cross-functional projects.
  • The ability to exercise judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results is required.
  • Providing industry knowledge and best practices to keep the technology stack cutting edge is expected.
