Description:
Brightspeed is seeking a Principal Software Engineer- Provisioning and Activation Analytics to lead end-to-end system solutions for their telecom applications.
The role involves overseeing order fulfillment orchestration, inventory, provisioning, and billing domains.
The engineer will lead the team in the customer order fulfillment process across the entire order provisioning life cycle.
Responsibilities include defining the roadmap for migrating provisioning applications, leading the team to achieve business goals, and identifying operational solutions.
The engineer will ensure the team follows defined processes to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
Close collaboration with senior management is required to analyze long-term business goals and suggest technological solutions.
The role also involves guiding the team in assessing system usage trends and identifying performance constraints.
Requirements:
A BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
Candidates must have 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the telecom domain.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in Java microservices development is necessary, including troubleshooting various environment issues.
Candidates should have 4+ years of experience with Micro Services and domain-driven design.
At least 3 years of experience with major cloud providers such as GCP, Azure, or AWS is required.
Experience in leading the solution architecture lifecycle, including concept, design, prototyping, integration, testing, and production release is essential.
Candidates should have experience in telecom provisioning/billing and fiber solutions.
Experience implementing telecom products and services, such as Voice/VOIP and Broadband services, is required.
Familiarity with BPM/Workflow/Orchestration tools is necessary.
The ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering results is essential.
Candidates must be self-driven, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing multiple clients and cross-functional projects.
The ability to exercise judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results is required.
Providing industry knowledge and best practices to keep the technology stack cutting edge is expected.
