The Partner Chains team is developing a research-backed blockchain protocol to simplify the incubation, innovation, and deployment of applications for specialized business challenges.
The mission is to enable developers to create secure, transparent products that facilitate direct transactions without financial intermediaries.
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of the Rust implementation of the Partner Chains Substrate node.
Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing a cross-chain protocol using advanced cryptographic techniques like Threshold Signature Schemes (TSS).
Key responsibilities include leading the design and development of the Substrate node, architecting a novel cross-chain protocol, collaborating with engineers and researchers, optimizing the existing codebase, mentoring other engineers, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting complex issues, and contributing to the architectural vision of the Partner Chains Tribe.

Requirements:

You must have 5+ years of blockchain software development experience, with at least 3+ years in Rust and preferred expertise in the Substrate framework.
A strong understanding of cryptographic techniques, particularly Threshold Signature Schemes (TSS), and their application in cross-chain protocols is required.
Experience with Ethereum is a plus, including knowledge of its architecture, smart contracts, and cross-chain interaction challenges.
You should have experience in leading technical teams and mentoring engineers in protocol design and development.
A passion for innovation and a deep understanding of cross-chain interoperability challenges and opportunities is essential, with a special plus for experience with Cosmos IBC or bridging implementations.
