Description:
As a Principal Software Engineer specializing in Security and Secrets Management, you will lead the evolution of the Environments, Secrets, and Configuration (ESC) platform.
You will build the next generation of secrets management and orchestration solutions.
Your work will focus on designing scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions for managing sensitive data, credentials, and configurations.
This role involves collaborating across engineering, product, and security teams to create cutting-edge solutions in cloud-native environments.
Key responsibilities include architecting and leading the development of innovative secrets management solutions, developing secure services for configuration and access control, and enforcing secure development practices.
You will also conduct security assessments, mentor engineering teams, and stay updated on security trends to enhance the platform’s security posture.
Requirements:
You must have 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in security, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
Proven experience in building and maintaining security-focused software solutions, particularly in secrets management and cryptography, is required.
A deep understanding of modern security architectures, zero-trust models, and distributed systems security is essential.
Expertise in programming languages such as Go, Python, or Rust is necessary.
Experience with cloud-native environments, containers, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker is required.
A strong understanding of multi-cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure) and hybrid environments is needed.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and secure coding standards is important.
Excellent leadership and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to mentor engineers, are required.
