Remote Principal Software Engineer, Supply Chain (Fullstack)

Description:

• Veho is a post-purchase experience company focused on enhancing e-commerce logistics.
• The Principal Engineer will lead a cross-functional team responsible for core systems and applications in Ground and Transportation Operations.
• Responsibilities include architecting, building, testing, and deploying applications, APIs, and features for various user bases.
• The role involves modifying designs and specifications of complex applications.
• Collaboration is key, with participation in peer code reviews and working with both technical and non-technical end-users.
• The engineer will analyze code, requirements, system risks, and software reliability, providing recommendations for efficient technology use.
• The position requires working with Product and Design teams to confirm requirements and prioritize new feature development.
• The engineer will also act as a player-coach, mentoring peers while building high-quality software efficiently.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in building, testing, and deploying applications in high-traffic production environments.
• A minimum of 10+ years of experience in full-stack software development is required, ideally with Typescript, Node.js, and React.
• Experience in the Supply Chain domain is necessary, with a strong preference for experience in Middle Mile Transportation software development.
• Candidates should have experience collaborating closely with Data Science and Operations Research engineers.
• A self-starter attitude, initiative, and a willingness to move fast and ship quickly are essential.
• Enthusiasm for working with product and operations teams to develop creative solutions in a new problem space is required.
• Familiarity with the tech stack including AWS, Typescript, and Node.js is expected.
