As a Principal Software Engineer on the video player team, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of the next-generation video player library.
You will advocate for excellence in operations, engineering, and delivery.
Establish relationships across Engineering, Program Management, Product, and QA to help create the technology roadmap.
Join an international team of over 100 client engineers and leaders at Crunchyroll.
You will report to the Software Engineer Director, Video Players.
The position is open for US-Remote applicants.

Requirements:

You must have 15+ years of industry experience and a passion for technology and the streaming space.
You should have experience sustaining core values of excellence in operations, delivery, and engineering.
You need to have been a developer, technical leader, and architect of front-end customer-facing applications.
Experience developing solutions used by millions of users is required.
You must demonstrate experience working with product and program peers to establish technology roadmaps.
You should have experience leading technology leaders and driving important engineering programs.
You need to apply judgment and experience to balance trade-offs between competing interests.
Expertise in multimedia frameworks and protocols, such as MPEG-DASH and HLS, is necessary.
Hands-on experience developing in multiple code stacks, including mobile, web, backend, database, and infrastructure, is required.
