Description:
The Principal Solution Architect will lead architecture for internal integrations with CRMs (Salesforce), ERPs (Workday), multiple CMS platforms, and Marketing Technology (MarTech) tools, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure solutions that meet business needs.
This role involves close collaboration with Salesforce, Workday, and Software architects to ensure alignment between enterprise IT systems and the AWS Serverless platform.
The architect will act as a key liaison with IT Operations leadership and the CIO, participating in strategic discussions and influencing the direction of technology solutions for mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing a comprehensive integration strategy, enabling consistent data flows, minimizing duplication, and ensuring data integrity across systems.
The architect will drive the execution of the target-state 1-3 year cloud-native architecture for internal integrations and ensure alignment with the broader platform vision.
They will facilitate architecture reviews, including Well-Architected Reviews, Threat Modeling, and Integration Design Reviews, focusing on critical business integrations.
The role requires developing and maintaining a roadmap for integration patterns, middleware, and shared services to ensure reuse and operational efficiency.
The architect will partner with engineering teams to deliver proof-of-concepts for key integration scenarios, utilizing a hands-on approach when necessary (Node/TypeScript, Java/Spring, or other relevant technologies).
They will define and enforce integration security standards, including data protection, IAM, and key management best practices, in collaboration with security teams.
The architect will evangelize integration best practices across engineering teams, educating on patterns, anti-patterns, and design principles for high-performing distributed systems.
They will assume ownership of key operational KPIs for integration reliability, including system uptime, data accuracy, and latency.
Continuous improvement of integration processes will be expected, leveraging metrics to drive enhancements in performance and reliability.
Collaboration with Product Management to define and refine requirements for system integrations and analytics is essential, ensuring traceability of data across platforms.
The architect will also architect and oversee integrations for MarTech solutions such as HubSpot, Heap, and other web analytics tools, ensuring proper data flow and governance across marketing and customer engagement platforms.
They will define the data strategy for customer insights, enabling accurate attribution models, lead tracking, and user behavior analytics to improve marketing decision-making.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience driving architectural and design decisions for cloud-centric or enterprise integration systems.
Extensive experience architecting and delivering integration solutions for Cloud SaaS platforms and enterprise IT systems is required; AWS experience is a plus.
Deep expertise in serverless-first architecture, event-driven patterns, and RESTful API design for internal system integrations is necessary.
Proven experience integrating large enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, and various CMS platforms is essential.
Hands-on experience with MarTech tools such as HubSpot, Heap, Google Analytics, and customer data platforms (CDPs) is required.
A working knowledge of middleware solutions, message brokers, and data synchronization strategies for distributed systems is needed.
Strong understanding of application security, data protection, and cloud network security, with hands-on experience in secure integration design is necessary.
Candidates should be strategic thinkers with a systems-oriented mindset and the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term vision.
Excellent communication skills and experience engaging cross-functional stakeholders, including IT leadership, engineering teams, and external partners, are required.
A strong ability to quickly assess and understand new technologies and architectural patterns, particularly in the context of enterprise integration, is essential.
A proven track record of leading and influencing cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment is necessary.

Benefits:
The annual gross base salary range for this position is $136,000 - $170,000 plus variable compensation.
