Description:

• The Principal/Staff Full Stack Engineer position at Flatfile involves owning feature delivery from solution design to production scale.
• Responsibilities include designing and building backend services, reimagining manual data transformations as code-first AI-powered product experiences, and improving usability through refined micro-interactions and interface design.
• The role also entails developing AI-powered features to assist users in managing, analyzing, and resolving data issues, handling complex data structures found in various enterprise use cases, and refining the user experience in collaboration with the design team.
• Strategies to minimize data mapping errors, improve data accuracy, and ensure exceptional system performance are implemented, along with responding to critical incidents as needed.
• The position involves contributing to new AI models and features in partnership with the Applied AI team.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have at least 7 years of experience in a production environment, with significant contributions to the design, architecture, and optimization of distributed systems.
• Expertise in frontend and backend technologies like React, Node, Postgres, and Redis is required, or the confidence to scale to proficiency quickly.
• Demonstrated capability to innovate and optimize at the system level is essential, along with experience leading all phases of software development.
• A proven track record of raising technical standards, performance, reliability, and operational excellence is necessary.

• The position offers a salary range of $190,000 - $220,000 annually, along with eligibility to participate in Flatfile's equity plan.
