Description:

• Protegrity is seeking a Principal System Programmer specializing in Mainframe to support and maintain the Mainframe systems.
• The role involves upgrading the Mainframe to the next generation of IBM Processor and troubleshooting day-to-day incidents and problems.
• The candidate will provide out-of-hours support for the implementation of hardware changes.
• This position is available in Bengaluru or Mumbai and can be performed remotely.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 8+ years of extensive experience in mainframe hardware support and configuration.
• Professional experience with technologies such as z/OS, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, JCL, JES2, and OMVS is required.
• Extensive experience with Linux, C, and scripting is necessary.
• Knowledge of Disk infrastructure and a good understanding of TCP/IP network configurations are essential.
• SAF/RACF knowledge is required, along with familiarity with the latest IBM z processor generations (z14, z15, z16).
• Excellent problem determination skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are crucial.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills are needed to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Candidates should have experience in creating and deploying comprehensive business/operating plans that deliver desired results.
• A comprehensive understanding of risk management and compliance with relevant regulatory processes is necessary.
• Preferred qualifications include zPDT knowledge, subsystem knowledge (DB2, CICS, IMS), understanding of QSAM, BSAM, VSAM, and experience with DevOps.
