Description:

The Principal Technical Consultant serves as a technical thought leader and subject matter expert (SME) for partners, customers, and service providers in Public Cloud and Platform Engineering.
This role involves leading the development, design, implementation, and engagement of client solutions while managing and mentoring engineers on a project basis.
Responsibilities include ensuring timely project delivery, designing complex technical solutions, building client relationships, developing high-quality deliverables, collaborating with clients, creating solution designs, maintaining technical roadmaps, implementing CI/CD solutions, and providing mentorship to team members.
Requirements:
Candidates must have the ability to develop solutions in front of customers using a whiteboard.
Strong consulting and business acumen is required.
A minimum of 10 years of IT experience and 5 years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, Automation, Application Modernization, and Digital Transformation is necessary.
Multiple relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Pro, AWS DevOps Engineer Pro, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and Terraform Associate are required.
Hands-on experience in designing and implementing core platform services including Compute, Storage, Networking, Databases, Containers, Security, and Identity is essential.
Experience with transformational initiatives like Platform Engineering, DevOps, and Cloud Transformation is needed.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation is required.
Experience with deployment services like Harness, GitHub, and Jenkins, along with knowledge of branching strategies, is necessary.
Candidates should have programming experience in Java, Python, or another development language.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Knowledge of cloud-native application design principles, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines is required.
Familiarity with enterprise organizations and their IT functions is necessary.
