Description:

  • The Principal UI Engineer position at Spliced Inc. involves playing a critical role in building an intuitive, powerful, and stable user interface system for a multiplayer environment using Unreal Engine and C++.
  • Responsibilities include designing and implementing the user interface system, collaborating with designers and gameplay engineers, maintaining a framework in Unreal, working with the UX team, accepting and implementing art concepts, and coordinating with team members using various communication channels.
  • The role offers the opportunity to innovate in gameplay, problem-solve, and have a meaningful impact on user interface and interactive gameplay features.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience working with Unreal Engine.
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience on multidiscipline teams.
  • 2+ years of professional experience using C++.
  • 2+ years of working with User Interface code and scripting.
  • Comfortable with object-oriented design patterns.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, quick learner, problem solver, and passionate about creating User Interfaces for games.
  • Computer science degree.
