Description:
The Product Architect owns all technical matters related to their assigned products, focusing on creating AI-powered tools that enhance existing product capabilities.
Responsibilities include designing and orchestrating feature implementations for AI-driven functionalities and maintaining the architectural integrity of these enhancements.
The role ensures that best practices and architectural guidelines are followed across the AI and machine learning domains.
The architect will develop a deep understanding of both the product code base and AI tools, including LLM applications, through hands-on experimentation and exploration.
They will design and implement AI-powered tools that integrate seamlessly with existing product workflows.
The architect will assess and shepherd the technical delivery of AI enhancements to ensure adherence to best practices.
They will drive continual improvement of development processes, emphasizing machine learning pipelines and LLM training.
Collaboration with the Product Management Team and other stakeholders is essential, contributing to the product roadmap, product requirements, and product release schedule.
The architect will identify gaps in the technical aspects of the end user experience and estimate software development requirements and effort, proposing alternatives and prioritizing development tasks.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 4+ years of experience in software engineering.
Hands-on experience in building and deploying AI/ML solutions in production is necessary.
Strong experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) with LLMs is required.
A strong understanding of API development for integrating AI solutions is essential.
Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LlamaIndex, and LangChain is preferred.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically AWS, is required.
Experience with fine-tuning LLMs is necessary.
Proficiency in Ruby is a must-have, while experience in TypeScript and Python is nice to have.
Familiarity with MLOps best practices, including model deployment, monitoring, versioning, and lifecycle management, is required.
The ability to build scalable and efficient AI pipelines is essential.
An understanding of data engineering best practices, including ETL pipelines and data lakes, is necessary.
Knowledge of data processing techniques for NLP applications, including preprocessing text and using embeddings for LLM-based applications, is required.
Experience designing scalable and cost-effective AI architectures that handle real-world constraints is necessary.
Strong knowledge of performance optimization for AI-driven applications is required.
Understanding of security and compliance in AI solutions is essential.
Experience working with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for AI model deployment is preferred.
The ability to create documentation that communicates both business-level understanding and technical implementation details is necessary.
Candidates must be able to work with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software engineers, and product managers.
