Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to develop scalable data-driven solutions that enhance player understanding, foster safe online communities, and optimize the player experience.
This role is essential for innovating and expanding our game analytics tools and will involve collaboration with data professionals, application engineers, and stakeholders throughout the studio.
Daily tasks may include analyzing large sets of game telemetry data to uncover player relationships, feature usage trends, security threats, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
The Data Scientist will design and test solutions to improve new player retention through data-driven insights and automation.
They will develop solutions to identify and mitigate non-human bot activity and translate these solutions into product features.
Presentations will be required to discuss findings from data models.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience applying Data Science methodologies to product development.
A strong understanding of machine learning and statistical methods, including classical ML, deep learning, NLP, and anomaly detection, is required.
Expertise in statistical concepts such as experimental design, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and clustering is necessary.
Proficiency in writing clean, efficient code in Python, Java, or Typescript is essential.
Experience in writing optimized SQL queries to build and analyze datasets is required.
Familiarity with modern Cloud Platforms, preferably GCP, is expected.
Exposure to big data processing tools like BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, Spark, and Beam is important.
Strong communication skills and a desire to understand and explain data usage are required.
A willingness to continuously learn, adapt, and step outside of comfort zones is essential.
