Remote Product Engineer-Android

Description:

• Ditto is seeking an experienced Product Engineer to design, implement, and test mission-critical applications that enhance command and control and situational awareness using Ditto's technology.
• The role involves working on a small team that handles the full end-to-end implementation process, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and operational support.
• The Product Engineer will help the Federal team solve complex issues related to SDKs, architecture, performance, and scaling.
• The position requires advocating for customer needs by collaborating with engineering and product teams to debug and reproduce problem reports.
• The engineer will work with developers and product managers to design and build user interfaces (UI and API) that meet their requirements.
• Support for application development teams with delivery requirements and pipelines, including security/authentication, integration and testing, and production distributions, is also part of the role.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in an active software development role is required.
• The candidate must have the ability to develop complex applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Proficiency in integrating and testing networking protocols and communications is necessary.
• The ability to read and understand code, logs, and stack traces, as well as debugging in distributed environments, is essential.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and common CI/CD practices is required.
• The candidate should be comfortable navigating macOS and Linux systems using a terminal/command line.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are mandatory.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required.
