Description:

Ditto is seeking an experienced Product Engineer to design, implement, and test mission-critical applications that enhance command and control and situational awareness using Ditto's technology.
The role involves working on a small team that handles the full end-to-end implementation process, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and operational support.
The Product Engineer will help the Federal team solve complex issues related to SDKs, architecture, performance, and scaling.
The position requires advocating for customer needs by collaborating with engineering and product teams to debug and reproduce problem reports.
The engineer will work with developers and product managers to design and build user interfaces (UI and API) that meet their requirements.
Support for application development teams with delivery requirements and pipelines, including security/authentication, integration and testing, and production distributions, is also part of the role.

Requirements:

A minimum of 6 years of experience in an active software development role is required.
The candidate must have the ability to develop complex applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Proficiency in integrating and testing networking protocols and communications is necessary.
The ability to read and understand code, logs, and stack traces, as well as debugging in distributed environments, is essential.
Knowledge of test automation frameworks and common CI/CD practices is required.
The candidate should be comfortable navigating macOS and Linux systems using a terminal/command line.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are mandatory.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required.
