Description:

OP Labs is seeking an experienced Protocol Engineer to join the Proofs Team, focusing on the development of infrastructure for secure and permissionless fund withdrawals from OP Stack chains and the Superchain.
The role involves evolving the proof system to meet stage 2 requirements using dispute games and/or validity proofs.
Responsibilities include developing Go-based OP Stack infrastructure, such as Cannon, the Fault Proof VM, and contributing to the launch and scaling of Superchain interoperability.
The Protocol Engineer will also work on improving monitoring and automated response systems to ensure the security of the Superchain.

Requirements:

Candidates must have proven experience developing in Go, Rust, Java, or a similar programming language.
A strong understanding of blockchain development and cryptographic principles is essential.
Experience in systems programming, particularly in developing low-level software like virtual machines, interpreters, or compilers, is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for documenting technical details and collaborating effectively with team members.
Experience with Zero Knowledge Proofs or ZK VMs is considered a nice-to-have.
